- Are you at a crossroads, and not sure what to do?
- Do you have too many options, or maybe no options?
- Do you feel that you have missed too many opportunities to change?
- Are you looking for a more creative approach to looking at your issues?
- Are you looking for something that will help you develop your strengths and not focus on the negatives?
- Do you want a framework for understanding yourself that reflects you and not someone-else’s point of view?
I can help you explore the stories behind your journey to the crossroads, and then facilitate you to look to the future and make your own decisions and action plans. Using storytelling and metaphor (and a whole load of related skills) enables you to make new discoveries and insights about the things you thought you knew about yourself and your relationships, and become better informed to make your own decisions.
I work with storytelling and metaphor to facilitate people who are stressed or unhappy, to find a different way to understand their life story and become more confident to transform their lives. I focus on enabling you to reflect on the changes you want. I offer no insights, but I draw your attention to things in your story that you might want to explore in more detail. I support you as you play with the story, allowing you to explore different options and outcomes using different creative materials and your imagination. Storytelling and metaphor are very powerful ways of organising and exploring your own material.
I have worked with creative artists like storytellers and writers who are interested in developing their personal approach to their art form, but find themselves blocked for one reason or another. Or who want to work on the development of characters and story line to make their storytelling and writing more authentic.
I have worked with professionals in health and social care, the voluntary and private sector, and local businesses who feel they need support to look at what they are doing, either to improve their performance, reflect on what they have done, or to help them move on to the next stage in their career or business. And I have worked with individuals and couples who want to explore personal issues in relationships, bereavements and personal development.
I do have a life where I tell stories and another where I write stories. But when I am working as a life story coach, I am interested in your story and what you want to have happen!
If you are interested in working with me, you can get in touch, and we can connect by phone or by Skype to have a free initial consultation. For any future work you could travel to Devon for a face to face meeting, or we could work together by phone or Skype!
I’m looking forward to hearing from you, and enabling you to choose which path at the crossroads is the best one for you.
Allow yourself the time to play with metaphors and story to enable yourself to gain new insights for personal or work related issues.
